Seven gardens were specially created for the BBC television series "Gardens Through Time." They give an insight into the fashions and techniques in gardening over the past two hundred years.
Garden 1: This Regency style garden incorporates features from the early 1800s; a sweeping path, a rustic shelter and a shrubbery, behind which is a secluded seat encircling a tree. The grass would have been kept short by scything.
