Set in a secluded south-west facing spot to catch the sun, the Herb Garden is divided into four beds, around a central sundial. Each one is edged with a dwarf hedge of lavender and is filled with a group of plants for a particular purpose; cosmetic, culinary, household and medicinal.
The permanent Alpine House collection is situated just to the left as you look into the Herb Garden, but it is currently closed due to refurbishment until Summer 2008.
