Eucalyptus dalrympleana.

All the bits you can see on the grass are the bark of the tree that was being stripped off in the wind, revealing the white trunk underneath.
The fast growing Eucalypts will rapidly grow to large evergreen trees, flourishing on dry sandy soils, flourishing in full sun and arid conditions. It will struggle with shade or very cold exposed environments. Suitable only for large gardens or coppicing. The Mountain gum is an extremely hardy form with attractive, patchwork bark, becoming white with age. The grey green leaves are bronze when young.
Height: 15m, Spread: 8m.
